Santiago, Chile

This full-day excursion will take us to the Casablanca Valley. Over the last decade, this valley, located approximately 80 kilometres from Santiago, has quickly become one of Chile’s most important valleys for the production of premium white wine. As part of this excursion, we will enjoy a tour and tasting at one of the many vineyards that are part of this thriving wine route. Specifically, we will visit Bodegas RE, which offers a unique wine concept based on REcreating, REinventing, and REvealing ancestral wines from biblical stories to wines produced in past centuries by the family in noble and beautiful clay jars. During the guided tour of the winery, we will visit the garden of ancestral varieties, the liquor room, the balsamic room, and finally conclude in the underground barrel and jar room. Our guide will tell us the story behind their wines, as well as the different techniques and procedures used in their production. The experience at Bodegas RE culminates with a four-course pairing lunch harmonized with the winery’s flagship wines and liqueurs. Afterwards, our journey will take us to Viña del Mar, a resort city founded in 1874 that is famous for its beautiful gardens and flower clock. Before returning to the hotel, we will have the opportunity to stroll through the colorful streets of the city and enjoy what was once the most important maritime destination on the Pacific coast.
